We were talking about misheard song lyrics this afternoon... here are some of the more hilarious ones I got on text...

- Timbaland and One Republic Apologize, too late to apologize, I thought it was too late to call the judge... What??! Ha ha
- I thought in the jennifer lopez song jenny from the block it was saying 'im still 20 from the back' lol
- A guy asked the band to play slow walking walter that fire fighting guy. the singer laughed and said that it's actually smoke on the water fire in the sky
- My mom thought Areosmith's dude looks like a lady was do that funky lady
- I thought umbrella by rihanna was "under my armed beretta"
- Forever I thought Summer of 69 started off with 'I got my first real sex dream, I was 5 at the time' :)
- Pussycat dolls, when i grow up i wanna have groupies, i thought it said, when i grow up i wanna have boobies, not 4 radio i know lol
- When I was a kid, I used to think the song "can't hurry love" said 'gator in love'. For years, I was convinced.  
- Bon Jovi Livin on a Prayer - it doesn't matter if we're NAKED or not - i was screaming it at the top of my lungs at a social when a friend corrected me.
- At the beginning of BEP Boom Boom Pow, my 5 year old sings Gotta Kit Kat, like the chocolate bar.
- I thought Panama by Van Halen was Cannonball!

Worst Halloween Costumes

We were talking about terrible Halloween costumes on the show today... here are a few of the funnier ones I received via electronic mail...

One year me and my three siblings didn't have any costumes since we were in the middle of moving, so my mom cut holes into garbage bags, wrapped packing tape around our necks, and smeared dark green face paint across our faces and called us "Garbage People". WORST HALLOWEEN COSTUME EVER!!!

I dressed up as Al from Home Improvement when I was about 13 or 14. Flannel shirt tucked in, painted on beard, dad's tool belt. I thought I was the coolest kid on the street...I was mistaken.

My mom did me up as a Ballerina Pig one year.. it was a pig with a tutu and a crown. TERRIBLE!

Just letting you know fully what i was talking about yesterday when i told you about the huge run, my friend Cole is from Winnipeg, Manitoba and has been running at different intervals across the country. Previously Cole ran to raise money for diabetes research and awareness, he is now running for cancer. Carrying a message of hope, his current dedication is to run from the border of Mexico, moving north through the east coast of the United States, and back to Winnipeg, Manitoba beginning on December 27th 2009. Cole will be travelling with Steve Noel and Justin Tetrault, and the journey will take approximately six months to complete.

Misconceptions You Had When You Were a Kid

Some people go to Vegas to gamble, I went to shoot machine guns...

So, I went to Las Vegas recently for a friend's wedding... I don't gamble, I wasn't interested in seeing any of the shows down there... so I had to find something to occupy my time with... So I ended up going to this place called The Gun Store... it's like a shooting range, but you don't just shoot pistols, you shoot any gun you can think of... shotguns, machine guns, laser sights, they even had old World War II style weaponry...

 

On the cab right over to this place, the driver asked us where we were from, I said Canada... he says "Oh, so I guess you're going to shoot guns because you don't have any in Canada..?" I said, no, we have guns in Canada, we just don't have the frighteningly easy access to them that you have here in the US...

Dumb things you've done at a concert...

We were talking about dumb things that you or your friends have done at concerts on the show today... here's an email I received from Crystal...

I've got a concert story for you! Well as you may know Busta Rhymes was in town not too long ago performing @ Blush Ultraclub. I've never personally done this at any concert or had the chance to. So I figured I would do this prank. I would buy a pair of pink granny panties & write a message on it, then throw it onto the stage! I wrote "Touch it, Feel it" on the front. Now Busta didn't get on the stage until after 1am. I almost forgot I had them in my bag until my friend reminded me about them. So about midway into the show I waited until he wasn't looking and threw them onto the stage! His buddy Dj Flex seen them & was about to kick them off, but Busta stopped him & wanted to check them out! He picked them up & saw they were granties, laughed & started assuming a girl from the balcony took hers off & tossed them. He was asking her if she had hers on & if those were hers! lol She was like no I have mine on. Then he went to a couple other girls on the balcony who were wearing dresses & asked if they had their panties on too! My friend and & I were on the main floor & couldn't stop laughing @ what was happening. Busta said he could probably sell them on EBay for $20! I still, to this day, haven't found anyone that recorded it.

He's a 5 year old male tabby cat (brown and black) his name is Cody. He's wearing a dark blue collar with tags (he has been vaccinated) he's also wearing a light blue halter with a bell on it.

 

He went missing yesterday night from his house on Gertrude avenue. We think he is still in the Osborne area. He is an indoor cat and a little timid but very friendly!

I've been told by several people that John Sauder looks like my dad.  So, I want know what you think.  Do we look alike?

The Revolving Restaurant is closing...

It's true. The people that currently own it are not renewing their lease in the new year and the restaurant will shut down... new ownership is entirely possible, but in the meantime, I put out the call for people's favourite Winnipeg restaurants that don't exist anymore... below is a list of some of the more popular answers (including the name of a perplexing eatery that was apparently around in the late 1970's that had talking tables and toilets):
