Half-Cuban/half-Italian pop singer Anamor released an album, L'Inferno o l'Anima, in 1999 under the name Cenere and participated in both the Castrocaro and Sanremo festivals before moving to Cuba and finally, Miami. It was in the U.S. that the idea for Anamor was born, and in 2007 she released the single "Damila Si" in Latin America, where it was met with enough success to convince Anamor to release it in Italy as well. In the fall of that same year her full-length, De Lo Tanto Que Te Amo, came out, accompanied by a U.S. gay club tour, where certain enthusiasts were touting her as the next Cher, thanks mostly to her deep voice. ~ Marisa Brown, All Music Guide
