K-Ball (b. Kelli Ball) is a Los Angeles-based late-'90s urban soul singer. She was discovered by Chris Stokes, a producer behind such successful artists as Chris Stokes and Smooth. Stokes helped K-Ball secure a contract with Warner Brothers and she released her first album, On My Way, in November 1997. The first single from the record was "Do It on the Up Side," whcih was included twice on the album -- once in its original version, once in a Dat Nigga Daz remix, included to ensure street credibility. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
