Slurpee capital of the world seems to be a matter of semantics...

Semantics: b: the language used (as in advertising or political propaganda) to achieve a desired effect on an audience especially through the use of words with novel or dual meanings.

So the press release from 7-Eleven says "Every day is Slurpee Day in Kennewick, Wash., recently crowned the new Slurpee capital of the world..."

While it would appear on the surface that we have lost the title... something about this release seems fishy. Kennewick only has 55,000 or so people and only has one 7-Eleven store. Below is from Wikipedia...

Kennewick's one and only 7-Eleven location was the #1 Slurpee seller on the West Coast and #1 in the US in late summer 2007 and is expected to be the #1 Slurpee seller in the world later in mid-summer 2008.

Do they get a trophy? I know we have one. What needs to be defined here is what exactly is required to be the Slurpee Capital of the World. Until we receive official word, I will assume we still hold the belt.
