Dave Stahl

Trumpeter Dave Stahl formed his own band in the '80s, after working with numerous leaders and groups. He received a degree in music education from Pennsylvania State University in 1970, then played in an army band in Washington. Between 1973 and 1975, he toured and recorded as a lead trumpeter with Woody Herman. He worked with the Count Basie orchestra in 1975 and 1980, then in the '80s formed his own band. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
