This is one of tenor saxophonist Eddie Harris' most famous and significant LPs. He displays his mastery of the electronic varitone saxophone (virtually the only player before John Klemmer to get his own sound on the electric sax) during the memorable "Theme in Search of a Movie" and particularly on his hit version of "Listen Here." A couple of tunes add a pair of percussionists and "Sham Time" features a horn section in back of Harris; the basic quartet is comprised of the leader, pianist Jodie Christian, bassist Melvin Jackson, and drummer Richard Smith.
