Following Tom Harrell's departure from the Contemporary label, a CD of leftover unreleased material from sessions with five different groups was compiled. That doesn't mean that this material is at all substandard. Harrell's spirited "April Mist" with pianist James Williams and tenor saxophonist Joe Lovano, his eerie "Suspended View" with Bob Berg on soprano sax, and the mysterious "Autumn Picture" with Lovano on soprano merited release with the rest of the sessions. Read More
