Review by José A. Estévez, Jr.
This was the Nicaraguan salsa star's solo recording debut that had a mild reception. "No Te Quites la Ropa" (oddly, recorded by Pedro Conga & His Orquesta International in the same year) was the only known hit in this production. It would take "Amor Y Alegria" to boost his career, and his residence in Puerto Rico made him into a certified salsa attraction. Early Luis Enrique shines on this Miami-produced effort. ~ José A.
